SLAP NICK GRIFFIN!!

Wednesday, October 28th, 2009

The good guys over at Albion London have come up with a site that gives everyone a chance to ’slap Nick Griffin’… whilst we don’t actively condone violence, surely a cheeky slap would work just nicely!

Try it for yourself - Slap Nick Griffin

According to the Digital Bulletin this evening - Nick has so far been slapped a whopping 20 million times already… with the average user slapping him 181 times… now that’s what you call not liking someone! ha!

A New Guru has joined the Family: Welcome Marie Barber

Tuesday, October 27th, 2009

On the back of one of our most succesful quarters and a real positive sign that the digital market place is heading out of decline, we are proud to announce the first of 3 new people joining the Digital Gurus team this year,

Marie recently moved back to London from Bournemouth (after 3 months travelling South East Asia), she brings with her a wealth of digital savvy with years of online and client experience, and a quickly fading tan!

Marie spends her weekends trying to avoid the pub (generally unsuccessfully), with family and friends, shopping and walking her dog Benny. (awwww)

If you want to get in touch and make yourself known to the newest DG recruit or just have a general nose around, feel free to drop her a message at marie@digitalgurus.co.uk or add her to your linkedin -

We’ll keep you updated about the new recruits as and when they get settled into the team… let the good times roll!

Glug London - Awesome Night

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Guys, I’m so sorry, we’ve been so busy lately that I haven’t even been able to update our blog for aaaaages!!

I just wanted to say that last months Glug was probably one of the best ever, you probably met one of us if you were there as we were on the door with some of the guys from Studio Output…

Glug was a sell out 700 capacity with Roof Terrace BBQ’s, inspiring talks, t-shirt printing, cake selling and lots and lots of booze! Sounds like a great recipe to me!

Thanks to everyone who turned up and took part to make sure the event went well with the minimum of fuss… main congratulations go to Ian and the team from Studio Output…

We hope anyone who couldn’t make last month will try to make this months Glugski… its going to be another great night!

Ping Pong 2009

Thursday, October 1st, 2009

Gosh, we’ve been so busy lately I haven’t been able to tell our audience what happened at the Inter Agency Ping Pong Tournament last week… DigitalGurus have unconvered a secret love within the digital world… who knew that table tennis was adored by so many agency folk? The night went down a storm… we had a great turn out, many thanks to all the agencies that participated… Steak Digital, Iris, Collective, Landon, Fit Digital, Emak Mafu, Public Zone to name but a few..

The games were tight, the battles fast and furious with only one emerging victorious… The final was between Collective and Steak Digital, with Steak Winning it on a nerve racking tie break…

As for ourselves, well we made it to the Quarter Finals and lost to the eventual winners Steak, so not too shameful (although expert pundits were able to see that our boys were pretty rusty having been without a table for over 6months, one of which mentioned that if the DG boys were on form they would have surely taken the title).

A great night… I’m sure people are definitely interested in rematches and maybe playing some one v one, so watch this space for more updates!
