Manchester, we have arrived
- last updated 28 Sep 2016
The cat is out the bag - Digital Gurus has launched in Manchester! After amazing success supporting the digital and tech needs of businesses in London, Dubai and Sydney, we've set our sights on sorting out the digital skills shortage in the North.
This summer, the Government issued a report calling for a massive 745,000 digitally skilled people in the UK by 2020 to maintain our current rate of growth. How is the UK going to manage that? Well, we want to take some real ownership of this issue and provide practical solutions that will make a genuine difference to business heads.
Manchester is the North's largest tech cluster with productivity and digital job creation growing ten times faster than other industries* – but the region doesn't have a dedicated recruitment team committed to this sector. It’s our mission to resolve this.
To kick things off, we've launched our new online forum and meetup event, Digital North with the purpose of bringing together the greatest digital minds in the Northern Powerhouse. The first event was held last week in The Studio, Manchester. With a series of phenomenal lightning talks from bjss, The Co-operative Group, Auto Trader, Isotoma, Dentsu Aegis Network, Amaze, StepChange Debt Charity, theEword, NHS Digital and N Brown, it was a roaring success - and we're already working on the next one. If you'd like to attend the next event, you can subscribe to our mailing list by clicking here and we'll keep you posted.
If you're keen to join the DG family in Manchester, you can apply to work for us here.
