Lead Creative Technologist

Short summary:
Hypermedia Lead (Creative Technologist) We are looking to recruit a talented creative technologist to join our nascent Hypermedia team.

“Digital” is – by definition – a broad church that extends way beyond display advertising and microsites. Hence, the Hypermedia team has been established to help develop and deliver innovative, engaging, cross-platform, integrated experiences for our clients. We are looking for someone to provide conceptual support, and executional insight, to creative teams in the development of their ideas; and then lead the charge as the project moves into the production phase.

You will have a hands-on background in design & development, and a long history of producing innovative, polished, award-winning work. However, you will be looking to step back from the actual do-ing, instead assuming a more directorial role and have the ability to influence the idea from the very beginning.

You will have a broad overview of the industry – in the widest sense of the word – and your thinking extends beyond established formats, allowing you to imagine what is, and what will be, possible in interactive design. You are a gifted communicator, paying as much attention to how the end product should make the audience actually feel as the underlying technology and infrastructure. You have a wealth of experience across a range of technologies, ideally with cross-platform experience. Historically, your bag might have been Flash microsites, but it might equally have been installations or applications or, more recently, development for iPhone or Android; most likely, your bag has been a mixed one.

More importantly, you have a passion for design, interaction, gameplay and storytelling; the understanding of how to deliver award-winning work; and the desire to share that understanding with others within the agency (and across the wider industry as a whole).

o 5+ years design and development experience, most likely in an agency or production company environment
