You will be responsible for account management across the clients as well as helping on a new business drive for the agency. You will be required to help build strategic recommendations in alliance with your AD and BD whilst manage an executive to ensure all work is delivered.
The Team
The team is integral to the delivery of brilliant work across a number of key clients; we have a passionate and motivated group to meet the challenges of a diverse range of clients.
The role will require close collaboration with both the BD and the Associate Director to provide our client with great service. You will also be expected to manage an Executive who will help with the day to day running of all the accounts.
With so many brands there is quite a lot of ground to cover across the team – particularly with meetings being scheduled for different brand teams at the same time – so it is vital that this person has the gravitas and experience to attend some client meetings on their own, in addition helping develop some of the strategic solutions for and take responsibility for smaller spenders within our portfolio.
Who my client is looking for ?
For the variety and breadth of clients this role requires a strong all-rounder; somebody who knows the basics in the comms planning process. They must have a good media agency background (preferably UK) and though retail experience isn’t essential an understanding of key challenges and terminology within this sector would be beneficial. There is an eclectic mix of strong British heritage brands and emerging online businesses so an excellent knowledge of the UK marketplace and digital experience is vital.
This role would benefit an ambitious pro-active new manager who will thrive with autonomy but know when to ask for guidance and learning. They need to have great communication (both written and verbal) and interpersonal skills – our clients like to be challenged but with diplomacy. Close attention to detail, progressive people management skills and a positive attitude are also key.
To fit well within the company and the comms planning team they also need to be genuinely passionate about what they do, honest, and unafraid to express a strongly held opinion (always backed up with knowledge and insight).
A sense of humour and lively personality would also help with the dynamics of the group
